Privacy Policy

People is a relationship manager that keeps your contacts, notes, events and places on your own device. This policy explains exactly what stays local, the few things that leave the device, and how to turn those off.
Your contacts are stored only on this device, and we never send them to our servers. We do not operate a server that receives your contact data. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.
What we store on your device
Everything you create in People is written to a database on your device:
- Contacts, and any details you add: phone numbers, emails, addresses, social profiles, custom fields
- Relationships between contacts, groups and tags
- Events, interactions, reminders and notes
- Places you save, and locations attached to interactions
- Photos you choose as contact avatars
- Your app settings
None of this is transmitted to us. If you delete the app, it is deleted with it.
Device backups
If you have device backups turned on, your device may include the app's data in its own backups. That means iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, or Google's backup service on Android. Those backups go to Apple or Google under their privacy policies, not to us. You can exclude People from device backups in your device settings.
What leaves your device
Four things, each for a specific purpose:

The app also downloads map images and its own configuration: which features are switched on, plan details, and the links to these documents. Those are downloads. They send us nothing about you, and the app falls back to built-in defaults when it cannot reach them.
Turning the optional ones off
Crash reports and usage data are on when you install the app, and we tell you so when you first open it. Both can be switched off at any time in Settings › Privacy. Switching usage data off also clears the data already gathered on your device.
Permissions
People asks for these only when a feature needs them, and works without them:
- Contacts: to import your existing contacts so you do not have to retype them. Read-only, and only when you choose to import.
- Location: to attach a place to an interaction and to show contacts on the map.
- Photos: to set a contact's avatar.
- Notifications: for birthday and event reminders, scheduled on your device.
- Face ID / biometrics: to unlock private content, if you turn on app lock.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build advertising profiles. The only third parties involved are the four services listed above, each doing one job.
Children
People is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual items in the app, or remove everything by deleting the app. Crash reports and usage data are retained by Google for a limited period under their own policies; switching those off stops any new data being sent.
Your rights
Because your data lives on your device, you already have direct access to it. You can view, correct, export and delete it at any time in the app. For questions about the crash and usage data, or anything else in this policy, email us at privacy@010pixel.com.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change materially affects what leaves your device, we will tell you in the app.
